Installation:

Drill a hole matching the outer diameter specification of your rivet nut.

Thread the rivet nut onto a dedicated rivet nut installation tool or a DIY bolt-and-nut compression rig.

Insert the nut into the pre-drilled hole. Squeeze or tighten the tool/bolt assembly to bulb and clamp the backside of the rivet nut against the material.

Unscrew the tool or installation bolt, leaving a clean, permanent thread ready for a screw or bolt.
